Soho Square is a square in London's Soho neighborhood, with a park and garden area at its centre that dates back to 1681 & was in its early years one of the most fashionable places to live in London. At the centre of the garden, there is a distinctive half-timbered gardener's hut. During the summer, it hosts open-air free concerts. and sport organisations. The area also features many businesses, clubs, and bars, as well as two churches. Soho square in a stone’s throw from Old Compton Steet, the bustling Gay centre of the west end. In the summer the square becomes a mecca for lunch hour sun-seakers many of whom strip down to bask in their ‘civies’.
